For class we were required to watch four more video tutorials for Adobe Illustrator. The forst video was titled "Working with Color." This video shows how to edit the fill and the stroke of a shape. The fill is the color inside the shape while the stroke is the color of the outline on a shape. You can press shift then click on the color swatches to mix color. If you double click on the fill or stroke, you can gain access to the color picker which helps if you need a precise color.
The second video, "Pen and Pencil Tools" does exactly what it sounds like. You are shown how to use the pen and pencil tools. The pencil tool is difficult to make closed shapes with but can help edit the outline of a shape. The pen tool can create closed shapes easily and can be edited after that by dragge the 'knobs' on the lines of the shape.
The third video "Brushes" explains the function of the brush tool. The brush tool has many different strokes and can be changed into many different colors. You can also change the thickness of the brush stroke to add some interesting effects.
The final video, "Blob Brush and Eraser" explains how those tools are used. The blob brush can be used free handed or as a shape. This comes in handy when using a shape that isn't in the shape tool section. The eraser can be used to cut shapes out of the blob created by the blob brush.
